Threnody was formed by Troy Bortner of Hanover, PA, in 1995. It was a five piece band playing original melodic death metal. After several name changes, Divine Misery became the title. Troy left the band in late 1998, and I filled his position.  Divine Misery disbanded in 1999.

I've recorded a song that was written by Ryan Chilcote (now of Forever Mourning) and me while we were in Divine Misery that is available on the music page.
